Life can be so hectic that we forget to take care of ourselves. We get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday activities that our “me time” can get neglected. In order to keep up with our crazy lives sometimes it is necessary to set aside a couple hours for ourselves or maybe even a whole day!

We are strong believers that you need to take the time to make your body and soul happy. Now, we don’t want to tell you how to spend your time but we can try and inspire you with some ideas!

Move Your Body:

How you decide to do it is up to you! Take time to listen to your body.

If you feel like breaking a sweat you should hit the gym to lift weights or get in some sprints on the treadmill.

Feel like taking things slow? Do some at-home yoga or take a walk around your neighborhood.

Don’t feel like doing your same old routine? Find a new way to break a sweat and have some fun with it.

Getting your endorphins pumping will help you feel awake and refreshed.

Take Time to Reflect:

A million different thoughts run through your head every day and it can get distracting. Try turning off your phone for a couple hours and take some time to yourself.

This would be a perfect time to journal, make a vision board, or read that book that you started and never got to finish.

Get some SUNSHINE:

This means that most of the population is deficient in vitamin D. The suns rays can lower cholesterol, build up the immune system, kill bad bacteria, and protect against brain aging.

Some of the best ways to embrace the sunlight are to go on a hike, take a walk, or just do a little sun bathing.

Treat Yourself:

I know you won’t refuse this suggestion! Buy yourself a little something that makes you happy whether it is a new candle, fresh flowers, or an ice cream cone.

Recharge:

This could mean different things to different people depending on your personality. This could be the perfect time to catch up with friends that you haven’t seen in awhile or it can just be spent with yourself on the couch and your favorite TV show!

Do what will leave you feeling refreshed; after all, it’s your day!
